OUR Expo is Getting a New Name!

Dr. Steve Roberson, the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Dr. Jan Rychtář, the Interim Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research, are proud to announce that the annual celebration of undergraduate scholarship and creative activities—formerly known as OUR Expo—is getting a new name. In recognition of Mrs. Carolyn Thomas ’54, a long time, generous donor and a supporter of undergraduate research, the event will now be called “The Carolyn & Norwood Thomas Undergraduate Research Expo.”

Dr. Jan Rychtář appointed Interim Director of OUR

Dr. Jan Rychtář joins the Office of Undergraduate Research as Interim Director August 1. The former Director of OUR, Dr. Mary Crowe accepted an Associate Provost of Experiential
Education position at Florida Southern College.

Dr. Crowe did an excellent job expanding and promoting undergraduate research on the local, state, and national level. She will be missed by the OUR network as well as the wider UNCG community.
