Grogan College Community Ambassadors

As members of the Grogan leadership team, Community Ambassadors build relationships and promote the well-being of the Grogan community. All Grogan Grizzlies benefit from the mentoring and support of their Ambassadors. Community Ambassadors are upper-class students who live in the hall. Grogan Ambassadors organized Grogan traditions and programs, maintain and promote high academic standards, and encourage commitment to learning in all its forms. They lead by example by exhibiting and promoting personal integrity, professionalism, and a cooperative and positive attitude. Your Ambassador may offer to help organize study groups, take students to the Learning Assistance Center, the Writing Center, etc., encourage students to make wise use of their time, and to be actively involved in the intellectual life of the University and the public affairs of the larger world.

PALS2

Community Ambassadors take a one-credit leadership course together. They then benefit from the opportunity to hone their leadership and teamwork skills and develop meaningful relationships with faculty and staff, which can lead to additional opportunities. They are often asked to represent Grogan College at recruitment events, university forums, workshops and news conferences.

Teaching Interns

Grogan Teaching Interns assist faculty to teach the Grogan College Core courses. Teaching Interns must have taken the course they help to teach and they are identified and nominated by the faculty. As a Teaching Intern, you assist with a variety of tasks which might include offering study sessions, leading class discussions, answering student questions, helping prepare instructional materials, taking attendance, or responding to student work. The specific tasks are determined by each faculty member and are unique to the needs of the course. Students interested in serving as Teaching Interns are invited to approach individual faculty members about available opportunities. Teaching Interns receive a stipend.
