** Please note: All Teaching Innovations Office consultation support will occur virtually (via Zoom) until further notice **

Let the UTLC help you with our expertise in pedagogy and research from the scholarship of teaching and learning.

The UTLC provides one-on-one and small group consultations, as well as workshops, to all instructors and departments.

Consultations may also include classroom observations using a standardized observation protocol. Please watch the following video to learn about the Generalized Observation and Reflection Platform (GORP) tool that the UTLC uses for observations.

All consultations are confidential. We will not share any information about our sessions, from your consultation request to any feedback, with anyone outside of our office as a rule. You may submit a formal request that we correspond with your department, but we will not do so otherwise. Our consultations exist to help you with your own reflections on your teaching practices, and not as evaluations.

All consultations are held at 1100 W Market St, unless you request that we observe a class as part of a consultation.

After you request a consultation, we will work with you to schedule a time that works for you with a coach whose expertise matches your needs. The UTLC staff, across our three offices, serve as coaches for our consultations. You can learn more about us, our interests and expertise here.
