Grogan College Committees—Join an existing Committee or start one of your own!

Friday Night Flags Committee

FNF is a team tag activity that (weather permitting) takes place in the late afternoon every other Friday throughout the academic year. Grogan students join either the “red” or the “blue” team and head to the golf course to see who can steal the other team’s flag. It is a great way to get your exercise. The Committee plans and organizes the competition, reserves the playing field, distributes, collects and maintains the equipment, sees to photography, advertising and the granting of awards. Lots of fun and healthy too!

Grogan Night of the Arts Committee

Grogan’s signature fall tradition (usually held in late September or October), Groganites of all types and talents are recruited to perform and show off their stuff. This committee organizes and advertises the event, recruits talent and serves as Master of Ceremonies. It is an autumn evening of fun and frivolity that reveals the wonderfully unique gifts and talents that make up our community. We support the arts too through a related fund raising and awareness campaigns.

Masquerade Ball Committee

(February). This committee plans and organizes the annual Masquerade Ball where we make our own masks, put on our dress up clothes and start the spring term off with your favorite music, dancing and good eats.

Professional to Professionals Lunch and Learn Committee

New for 2016-17, this committee will organize a year-long series of lunch conversations with practicing professionals and performers who are active in fields of interest to Grogan students.

Leadership Development Committee

This committee organizes opportunities for Grogan students to develop their leadership skills (so important to professional advancement) and earn credits toward the UNCG Leadership Certificate.

Grogan at a Glance

This committee works throughout the year to plan the annual end of year slide show and festival. A kind of year in review to celebrate all we’ve done and experienced and those we met along the way.
